General Options
General Options holds the preferences that apply across Billing Saathi. Most switches take effect as soon as you change them.
Where to find it: Settings → General Options
Theme Mode
Choose Light, Dark or Auto (light in the daytime, dark from 7 PM to 7 AM).
Logo and Signature Setting
Upload the logo, signature, invoice background and footer images and choose which ones print. Logo, signature and stamp
General Setting
| Enable rounding of grand total in invoice | Rounds the bill total; Round of value sets how (round up, round down, nearest 0.5, 1, 5, 10 or 100). |
| Record per page | How many rows lists show at a time (20, 40, 60, 100 or your own number). |
| Show product’s last invoice price for the same customer | Shows the price you charged this customer last time, and the purchase history, while billing. |
| Date format | For example 06/10/2025, 06-Oct-25 or 2025-10-06. |
| File format | The name of downloaded PDFs, built from tags such as {{doc-type}}, {{doc-id}}, {{company-name}}, {{contact-name}}, {{date}} and {{time}}. |
| Enable note for each product in invoice | Adds a note box under each product line, for example for a serial number. You can set a Default product note. |
| Validate HSN codes in invoice | Warns before saving if a line has no valid HSN/SAC code. |
| Show alert when reverse charge is applied / when generating invoice with past-future date | Asks you to confirm before saving such bills. |
| Search Products by Any Word | When on, typing any word of a product name finds it; when off, only the start of the name is matched. |
Other switches in this card include the export shipping detail section, expense title suggestions, audit trail logs, invoices in other currencies and payment terms on documents.
Discount Setting
Show the discount field, choose whether discounts default to rupees (₹) or percentage (%), calculate discount per item, and show a general discount, an amount adjustment field (for example TCS, applied on the amount after tax or the taxable amount) or a total discount on documents, each with your own label.
Number Setting
Choose how many decimal places to use for quantity, price, taxable total, GST rate, GST amount and currency. The hints show the limits allowed for e-invoices and e-way bills.
Other cards
- Document Conversion Settings: auto-map fields when you convert one document into another (for example a quotation into an invoice).
- Keyboard Shortcuts: switch global shortcuts on or off. Keyboard shortcuts
- Sticky Save Buttons: keep Save and Save & Print pinned at the bottom of long forms.
- Chatbot Floating Button: show or hide the chat button, and choose a round button or the slim BS Agent tab.
