How can we help?
Manufacture (production)
Manufacture records a production run: which raw materials and costs went in and how many finished goods came out. When you mark the run Completed, Billing Saathi reduces the raw materials and adds the finished product to stock.
Where to find it: Other Documents ▾ → Manufacture
Before you start
Add the finished product and the raw materials as products. On the finished product, tick I Manufacture this product. Add a product
Record a production run
- Click + Add New.
- In Manufacture Product choose the Product you are making, the Quantity and the unit.
- Check the Mfg No. and Date. Optionally choose a customer or vendor (M/S.) if the run is for someone.
- In Raw Material / Additional Cost add each raw material with quantity and price, and any additional costs such as labour or power.
- In Other Outcomes add by-products or scrap that come out of the run, if any.
- Check the Grand Total and the Unit price (cost per finished unit), then click Save.
Status and stock
| Draft / In Progress | No stock change yet. |
| Completed | Raw materials are taken out of stock and the finished goods are added. |
| Cancelled | No stock change. |
Change the status from the manufacture list. Moving a run back from Completed reverses the stock movement. A completed run is locked — to edit it, first move its status away from Completed.
The list shows MFG No, Finished Product, Date, Qty, Status, Unit Cost and Total Cost. See all runs in the Manufacture report.
