Profit & Loss reports (bill, day, customer, product)
Four reports show where you make money: by bill, by day, by customer and by product. Profit is the sale amount minus the purchase cost of the goods sold.
How cost is worked out
Cost uses FIFO (first in, first out) on your purchases of the last three financial years. Older stock with no matching purchase is valued at the product’s Purchase Price; if no purchase price is entered, the cost is taken as zero. So keep the purchase price filled in on every product for correct profit figures.
The reports
| Bill-wise Profit & Loss | Each invoice with its amount, total cost and profit. Choose the dates and click Search. |
| Day Wise Profit & Loss | Sales, cost and profit for each day in the period. |
| Customer Wise Profit & Loss | Sales, cost and profit for each customer (or one customer you choose). |
| Product Wise P&L | Quantity sold, cost amount, sale amount and profit or loss per product. Filter by products or product group. |
Where to find them: Report ▾ → Bill-wise Profit & Loss, Day Wise Profit & Loss, Customer Wise Profit & Loss or Product Wise P&L
All four can be printed, emailed, exported or downloaded.
These reports show gross profit on goods sold. Expenses such as rent and salaries are not deducted — see them in the dashboard’s Expense & Income card and the Daily Expenses report.
